Athens Recovery Fest
Athens Recovery Fest began in 2012 as an event to celebrate recovery from addiction and/or mental health challenges in Athens-Clarke Co. The event evolved into a 501-c3 non-profit organization in 2016, and Athens Recovery Fest, Inc., was born.
Athens Recovery Fest aims to raise awareness about Recovery from addiction and other mental health issues, Connect people with community resources, Celebrate people in recovery and advocates, and offer Hope for individuals and family members of those who are struggling with addiction and/or mental health challenges.
this annual event is free to the community
Food, live music, kids activities, success stories, haircuts, health screenings, Raffle, and resource fair with reps from community agencies/businesses who support recovery.
This event is funded in part by the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse and The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities through their recovery month mini-grant. Additional funds come from generous donations from individuals and local businesses.
